5/16" Amsteel Rope. Awesome.

I purchased this to hang a 50lb wildlife feeder where the bears had recently chewed through my nylon braided rope, dropping the feeder and helped themselves to all of the corn. On to plan B. The Amsteel rope did the trick. Bears are defeated.
On another note, I was concerned that the Amsteel would stretch initially, due to the weight of the corn-filled feeder, but there was none after 4 days. Most ropes will stretch with extended tension over time. So far so good. Worth every penny. -

I wasn't too sure about the claims of this product. So far though, I am quite impressed and will be purchasing again. This is so much nicer to work with than wire rope in every respect.

I requested in the order comments section that they cut the rope into 3 equal lengths. It came as one length. Also I emailed them to send a scrap section of the olive color just for color sample. I did get a response that they would include a sample but it was not in the package.
